Like most people I set goals, things I want to accomplish during the coming year. One standard is to write 3 books (either short or long) and get them submitted. So far God has been helping me accomplish and even exceed this goal.
My writing projects for this year include:
Seduced By the Wolf - an IR, shape-shifter story that may become a three book series. I haven't decided yet. I'm almost 70 pages into this story so finishing in 2011 is a definite.
Claiming Shayla - a True Mates story. Yes, I know readers have been waiting a while for this one. I plan to finish it this year. I won't meet the March deadline I gave myself but it will be submitted for publication in 2011. I'm 90 pages into it, know where I want to go with the story, but need time to sit down and write.
Fantasy Island Series book - I plan to have another one of these submitted this year.
Once I get these three stories done, I'll work on other writing projects in various stages of completion.
I also work part-time as an editor for now two publishing houses. Working with other authors to polish their books hones my writing skills but it cuts into my writing time. This year I working on doing a better job of balancing editing with writing. No more overloading myself with projects and then stressing out, wondering how I'm going to complete them all. So far, so good. I'm restraining myself from taking on too much, remembering that I still need time to write.
I also will be doing more traveling this year. The family and I are going on a cruise. In March I'll be attending my first writer's conference - EPICon. My daughter graduates high school in June and sometime this summer the extended family is going to Tennessee. With the help of God I'll be there as well.
This year is shaping up to be a really great year.
The passionate and devoted love between a man and a woman. Love the way God intended it to be. Commitment that lasts a lifetime. That's what my world is dedicated to. It's my hope that reading my stories will make you a true believer in the awesome power of love.
